East Berne is a hamlet located in the town of Berne, Albany County, New York, United States. It is situated in the Helderberg Mountains region, about 20 miles southwest of the city of Albany.

The nearby John Boyd Thacher State Park is a popular outdoor recreation destination, featuring hiking trails, picnic areas, and scenic views of the Hudson River Valley. The area is also known for its apple orchards, which provide much of the state's apple crop.
